Britovius is a Celtic god worshipped in Gaul. He may have been a warrior god or a god of the law.
He was sometimes identified by the Romans with their god Mars by way of the interpretatio romana.
Britovius received votive and dedicatory offerings from his worshippers; otherwise little is known of the specifics of his cult.
Britovius’ name may have been derived from the Proto-Celtic *brito or “judgement.”
Britovius is known only from inscriptions at Nimes, France
