Nassania is a Celtic goddess worshipped in Gaul, in what is now Belgium. She may have been a river goddess.
Nassania received votive and dedicatory offerings from her worshippers; otherwise little is known of the specifics of her cult.
The origin of Nassania’s name is uncertain
Nassania is known from an inscription found at the town of Nassogne in Belgium. I’ve seen it suggested that her name is connected to Loch Ness but have not yet seen any compelling evidence that this is so.
Nassania was worshipped in the town of Nassogne, near the river of the same name, once known as Nassania fons or “font of Nassania.”
