Amunet

Amunet is an Egyptian goddess, a consort of Amun in Thebes where she retained a strong presence from the earliest recorded times until the end of the era; like his, her name means “The Hidden One.” She, like him, is a member of the Ogdoad of Hermopolis, and is partnered with him in that group.

Amunet is depicted here as a woman wearing the red crown of Lower Egypt.

Amunet of ancient name, defender of kings
and of the fertile lands, I praise and honor you.
