Heka is an Egyptian god associated with magic; the word “heka” is also an Egyptian word for magic. He is also associated with medicine and healing.

Accounts of Heka’s parentage varied; he is most often said to be a son of Atum or a son of Khnum.

Heka is depicted here holding a serpent in each hand. He may also be depicted in the form of a child, wearing the sidelock of youth.
