Satet (Satis) is an Egyptian goddess with a strong protective function, including the arts of hunting and war. She had a particular center of worship on the island of Elephantine, in southern Upper Egypt, and is thus a protector both of that border and of the Nile itself.

Satet is depicted here wearing the white crown of Upper Egypt (representing her role as defender of that land) with antelope horns attached (representing her role as a huntress). She carries the was staff, a symbol of power, in one hand and the ankh, a symbol of life, in the other.

She can also be depicted carrying a bow and arrows, or water jars; she may also be shown in the full form of an antelope.
