Thoth (Djehuty) is an Egyptian god associated with writing, knowledge, education and scholarly pursuits.
Thoth was widely worshipped throughout Egypt; he had a particular center of worship in the city of Hermopolis
Thoth is depicted here as a man with the head of an ibis bird. He carries the tools of the scribe, the stylus and palette.
In other art Thoth is depicted in the full form of an ibis or a baboon.
Thoth, great scribe of Ma’at, master of the pen,
lord of truth and wisdom, I praise and honor you.
