Name(s): Ullr’s name is believed by many to derive from the Proto-Germanic *wulþuz or “glory.”

Parents: Ullr is said to be the son of Sif; his father is unknown.

Tales: Very little survives in the lore about Ullr, primarily a very general description and nothing about stories or deeds.

Hall: According to Grimnismal Ullr’s hall is called Ydalir (yew-dale). This would be a great location for a bow-god!

Other details: In Saxo’s Gesta Danorum, Ullr (as Ollerus) is said to be a great magician, armed with a magic bone with which he could travel quickly.

Atlakviða refers to the use of Ullr’s ring for the swearing of oaths.

In Gylfaginning Ullr is said to be a very fine archer and skiier.
